Position Summary
The Resident Aide plays a key role in supporting daily community operations and ensuring residents receive prompt, respectful, and attentive assistance. This position works closely with nursing staff and helps maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver meal trays to residents in a timely and courteous manner
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and relay needs to nursing staff as appropriate
- Pass and refill ice water according to facility guidelines
- Assist residents during supervised smoke breaks, following safety protocols
- Make beds and tidy resident rooms to ensure comfort and cleanliness
- Restock linens and maintain organized supply areas
- Provide general assistance to staff and residents
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or nursing staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in long-term care, assisted living, hospitality, or similar fields is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor
