POSITION SUMMARY
- This position requires coordination of activities in Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory.
- This position requires certification in forklift operation.

Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
A minimum of three years' experience in Shipping, Receiving and Inventory management is required.
Skills:
Knowledge of industrial machinery and their components or high mechanical aptitude is essential.
Must possess good communication skills and be self-motivated and innovative.
Must be capable of reading basic engineering drawings and blueprints.
Must be able to type and use a computer to include Microsoft Office Suite, ERP business systems (SAP preferred but not required) and various shipping software to include: UPS, FEDEX & DHL.
International shipping is required.
Physical/Mental Characteristics:
Potential exposure to certain hazardous chemicals while in the production area.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds and have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, and tolerate a great amount of walking.
Must be able to meet daily deadlines efficiently. Safety equipment is required at all times.
Equipment Operated: Forklift, mobile tablet, all equipment associated with packing and shipping packages, crates, pallets, and full truck loads; personal computer with related software.
Licenses/Certifications Required:
Forklift Operator Certification.
JOB DUTIES - ESSENTIAL
- Identify vendor parts and materials and cross-reference them to Haven part numbers.
- Identify, mark and/or tag parts for inventory.
- Accurately enter receipts into inventory daily.
- Review and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Pick and pull parts to Sales Orders and Job Orders.
- Receive and route customer returns and other operational non-inventory goods.
- Package items for a damage-free shipment. Including boxes, crates, pallets, and FTL,
- Make shipping arrangements for daily shipments for UPS, FEDEX, DHL and other logistics carriers.
- Prepare quotes for sales dept at customer request.
- Prepare shipping documentation, packing slips, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and other needed international and domestic documents.
- Understanding of INCOTERMS. Understanding of NAFTA and other international shipping requirements.
- Maintain organized work area and inventory areas.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- File freight claims.
- Trace shipments.
- Quote shipments.
- Deliver goods to other departments.
- Schedule long haul truck loads.
