Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The Social Worker will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, including geriatrics, and will utilize various therapeutic techniques to facilitate positive change.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and strengths.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices.
- Provide crisis intervention services to clients in urgent situations.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and community resources to ensure holistic care.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate services and resources for clients.
- Support clients with special education needs by advocating for their rights and access to necessary services.
- Stay informed about developments in psychopharmacology to provide informed support regarding medication management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and techniques.
- Familiarity with special education systems and resources is an asset.
- Strong understanding of cognitive behavioral therapy principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Compassionate approach towards client care with a focus on empowerment and advocacy.
