Role Description The Director of Nursing is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Flagstaff, AZ, responsible for overseeing all nursing services within the facility. This role includes planning, organizing, and directing nursing staff to ensure high standards of clinical care and regulatory compliance in a long-term care setting. The Director of Nursing will manage staffing levels and scheduling, implement and monitor infection control practices, and support the development of nursing policies and procedures. Daily responsibilities include supervising clinical documentation, coordinating resident care plans with interdisciplinary teams, mentoring and coaching nursing staff, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The Director of Nursing will also serve as a key liaison with residents, families, and external partners to promote safety, satisfaction, and positive outcomes.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Nursing Management and leadership, including supervising teams and directing clinical operations.
- Strong clinical knowledge in Nursing and Medicine, with the ability to guide evidence-based care and collaborate with interdisciplinary providers.
- Experience in Infection Control practices, including developing, implementing, and monitoring protocols to protect residents and staff.
- Background in Long-term Care, with understanding of regulatory requirements, care planning, and resident-centered services.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain), with several years of progressive nursing experience.
- Experience in a supervisory or management role within a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and make sound clinical decisions.
- Commitment to inclusive, respectful care and the ability to foster a collaborative, supportive work environment.
- Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and standard office software.
- Advanced education such as a BSN or MSN is preferred but not required.
