What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medication Assistant Globe Hourly position at Haven Health Group?
The Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) and is responsible for providing resident care to residents in accordance with resident assessments, care plans and as directed by nursing management. The CMA role incorporates the responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant but also medication administration in accordance with state and company policy. CMAs are responsible for understanding their authorized scope of practice in all areas of resident care with a special emphasis on the administration of medications within approved guidelines under the direction of the DON or other designated licensed nurse. CMAs must be licensed in the state of Arizona and must meet all prior requirements in order to obtain such licensure.
Active, Non-Probationary CNA License with active work for at least six months. License may have no outstanding complaints or restrictions.
Minimum education requirement of at least a high school diploma, GED or U.S. college or U.S. military credits or 12 years of education in a foreign country.
Active, Class-Instructed CPR Certification
Fingerprint Clearance Card
Background Screening, Licensure Verification (if applicable), Reference Check, Drug Testing
Tuberculosis Testing
Employee Health Screening (Conducted after Hire)
Ability to Move, Lift and Transfer a minimum of 50 Pounds
Must be able to Speak, Read, Write and Understand English
