Haven Nashville is seeking a dependable and motivated Line Cook to join our team at our brand-new inpatient behavioral health treatment center. This position plays an important role in preparing fresh, nutritious meals that support the health and recovery of our patients. The ideal candidate has previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, behavioral health, or senior living kitchen and is passionate about maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Assist with food preparation, inventory, stocking, and receiving deliveries.
- Follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs as directed.
- Work collaboratively with the Chef and dietary team to ensure timely meal service.
- Comply with all company policies and health department regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or Cook in a healthcare, hospital, behavioral health, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
- ServSafe Certification preferred (or ability to obtain after hire).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail.
