What You’ll Do
As a Dental Hygienist, you’ll work directly with patients to help them achieve and maintain excellent oral health.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, and other hygiene procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Evaluate patients’ oral health and communicate findings and recommendations
- Educate patients on home care and oral hygiene
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Provide compassionate care to both adult and pediatric patients
- Collaborate with the dentist and dental team to provide an excellent patient experience
