ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, CLIENT EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate for the Account Director position is a client-centric, highly organized professional with a strong background in media and marketing project execution. They are skilled at fostering strong client relationships, guiding strategic discussions, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of complex, multi-channel campaigns. In this role, you will partner closely with the Client Experience Lead to drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure team accountability.
A solid understanding of media disciplines—such as planning, investment, analytics, and ad operations—is essential. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage timelines, guide and drive the performance of all teams, and adapt to shifting priorities. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering results are critical for success. Experience in media, advertising, or digital marketing environments is strongly preferred, especially within fast-paced, collaborative teams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the Client Experience Lead by serving as a primary client contact, building and maintaining trusted relationships and advocating for client needs, through a management lens, to ensure client and agency expectations are consistently met.
• Understand client business objectives and provide strategic guidance to align internal efforts with client goals, identifying opportunities to add value.
• Demonstrates an ability to be a strategic connector with pattern recognition skills; able to connect the dots across client needs and/or inputs, team outputs, and agency resources, to proactively identify potential opportunities or roadblocks to build solutions or for growth potential.
• Ensure internal teams are up to date on client priorities and how this impacts the work we are doing; work with Client Experience leads to determine where we need to shift support as needed
• Ensures internal teams are aligned and effectively coordinated to deliver against client and agency needs
• Manage high-volume, complex media projects effectively.
• Proactively support and manage timelines across campaigns/ SLAs to prioritize and ensure quality control
• Collaborate across teams to deliver multiple media and media technology projects on time and within scope.
• Facilitate cross-functional integration between Media, Creative, and client teams.
• Proactively stay close to headlines (industry and client related) and coordinating across teams to ensure POVs are being developed, or competitive intel is being shared
• Ensure they are active in client meetings and helping to identify if clients are sharing new insights or challenges that Havas has an internal solution or group that could help support
• Serve as a champion for process adherence while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead internal status meetings to track project progress and ensure alignment.
• Works closely with internal leads to support the development of external status reports.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Foster knowledge sharing and communication across teams to ensure all key stakeholders are informed on project tasks.
• Contribute to project planning to ensure internal stakeholders understand project timelines and deadlines necessary to meet objectives.
• Provide group support by organizing and attending internal meetings, sharing recaps of discussions and decisions, and following up on team assignments and commitments.
• Develop and articulate processes within decks and documentation.
• Offer administrative support as required for ad-hoc projects
• Acts as a bridge across the Village or partner agencies
• Manages work relative to scope requirements
Knowledge and Skills Required
• A minimum of 7-10 yrs Account Management experience
• Proven experience managing high-volume, mid-complexity campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, search, broadcast, and print.
• Strong background in Media and/or Advertising.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels, including executives, team members, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to excel in dynamic environments and effectively manage change.
• Proficiency in project management tools, such as Jira, Smartsheet’s, Click Up and Microsoft Planner
• Strong track record of managing timelines and ensuring team accountability.
• Familiarity with digital routing systems
• Skilled in identifying and prioritizing tasks across various disciplines.
• Collaborative approach with strong relationship management skills.
• Experience with ad creative development is a plus.
