Duel Pay Rate: $25 – $28/hr (varies by assignment) Monthly Bonus Opportunities

We’re looking for a versatile Floater – CDL Driver & Parts Counter Sales Representative to support all branches within the Western Region, with specific coverage for Geneva, Auburn, and Elmira. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, thrives in both customer-facing and driving environments, and values teamwork and flexibility.This position will step in where needed – covering delivery routes, supporting counter sales, assisting with inventory, and helping branches maintain seamless operations.

What You’ll Do As a Floater, you’ll play a key role in supporting branch operations across the region. Your responsibilities will include both delivery and in-branch sales support:
Driving & Delivery Responsibilities

• Perform local deliveries of gas cylinders and welding supplies
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections and report any issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle
• Follow all DOT and company safety regulations
• Serve as a professional brand ambassador in all customer interactions
• Support delivery coverage across multiple Western Region branches as needed

Counter Sales & Branch Support Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in and phone-in customers with friendly, solution-focused service
• Accurately process orders, transfers, and quotes
• Support outside sales representatives with order preparation and technical information
• Troubleshoot product questions and guide customers to appropriate solutions
• Maintain organized, safe, and well-stocked inventory and product displays
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and general warehouse duties
• Collaborate with branch teams to meet daily goals while upholding safety and quality standards

Requirements

What You’ll Bring We’re looking for a dependable, adaptable team player who enjoys variety and takes pride in both safe driving and excellent customer service.

• CDL Class B license in good standing with current DOT Medical Card (required)
• Hazmat (H Endorsement) or ability to obtain (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of customer service or delivery experience preferred
• Strong communication and basic technical/troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and urgency
• Familiarity with inventory systems or POS software is a plus
• Experience with welding equipment, industrial gases, or related industries is helpful but not required

• Flexibility to travel between Western Region branches as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 50 pounds
• Ability to safely load and unload gas cylinders and product
• Ability to operate delivery vehicles, lift gates, dollies, pallet jacks, and other equipment
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing in and out of trucks
• Ability to drive for extended periods
• Ability to work in varied weather and industrial environments
• Capacity to remain active throughout the workday and follow all safety procedures
