Join our growing company as a Vision Engineer with Haumiller Engineering in our Belvidere, IL facility. The Vision Engineer is responsible for developing, designing and programming vision systems used in automation equipment.

This position is 100% onsite and based in our Belvidere, IL facility. Depending on workload, this position may require occasional travel to work at our South Elgin, IL location. 

What You Will Do:

•    Plans and performs a variety of duties requiring an expert degree of knowledge and skill with equipment including: Cognex, Keyence & Fanuc Vision. 

•    Develops and implements robust and reliable vision solutions for a variety of custom applications. 

•    Collaborates closely with vendors to select vision components (cameras, lenses, lighting, etc.) and assess new technology.

•    R&D vision solutions to verify concepts and designs, creating prototype parts and assemblies. 

•    Creates the documentation to effectively communicate designs for external and internal use through the use of owner’s manuals, job specifications, vision design specifications (VDS) and other documents. 

What You Will Bring:

•    B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or similar technology or 6-10 years of equivalent overall experience

•    6 years of overall experience as a Vision Engineer.

•    Able to design highly complex vision systems using Cognex In-Sight Explorer and Vision Suite; Keyence XG-X, CV-X, IV, and VS platforms; Fanuc iRVision; and others as required. 

•    Experience with LEAN manufacturing and 6 Sigma Concepts and tools preferred. ISO experience a plus
