Part-Time Junk Removal Driver / Crew Member

Haul-My-Mess.com is hiring an experienced driver to join our junk removal team.

This is a part-time, on-demand position for someone looking to earn additional income while doing hands-on field work.

This is a driving position

Applicants must have prior experience operating a medium-duty commercial truck or similar larger work vehicle.

If your driving experience is limited to passenger vehicles and pickup trucks, this is not the right opening.

The position combines professional driving with physical junk removal work. You will drive to customer locations, work alongside another crew member, remove unwanted items from homes and businesses, load the truck, and complete the job professionally from arrival through departure.

What the Job Involves

• Driving a medium-duty company truck throughout Greater Cleveland
• Furniture, appliance and household junk removal
• Residential and commercial cleanouts
• Carrying items from basements, upstairs areas, garages and other locations
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Working safely with another crew member on large or heavy items
• Maintaining a clean and professional work environment at customer properties
• Providing customers with courteous, professional service throughout the job
• Taking proper care of company trucks, tools and equipment

This is physical work. Some jobs involve stairs, awkward furniture, heavy items, dirty environments and extended periods of lifting and carrying.

You must be able to stay productive and maintain a professional attitude with customers even when the work is difficult.

What We're Looking For

Qualified applicants should have:

• A valid driver's license
• A strong driving record acceptable to our commercial vehicle insurer
• Previous experience driving a medium-duty commercial truck or comparable work vehicle
• Experience in junk removal, moving, delivery, furniture handling, construction, cleanouts or similar physical work strongly preferred
• The ability to regularly lift and carry approximately 50–75 pounds
• The ability to safely handle heavier items with a partner
• Customer-facing work experience and strong communication skills
• Good judgment when working in customers' homes and businesses
• Dependability and the ability to work effectively without constant supervision
• Respect for company trucks, tools and equipment
• The ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
• A drug-free work standard appropriate for a safety-sensitive driving position

Schedule

This is an on-demand, part-time position.

It is best suited to someone with flexibility in their schedule who wants to pick up additional paid work as jobs are scheduled.

We help homeowners, contractors, and businesses clear out unwanted items and keep projects moving. The work is hands-on, physical, and different every day.

We run a small, tight team. Showing up on time, doing the job right, and treating customers with respect actually matter here.

You’ll be working directly with the owner and learning how jobs are handled in the real world — not from a manual.
