Primary Functions:
We are looking for an experienced paint and wallcovering Estimator/Project Manager to oversee our commercial tenant improvement and maintenance projects (typically, under $100,000). The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, has hands-on painting experience, and excels in communication, teamwork, and customer service.
Specific Duties:
- Maintain excellent customer service by communicating clearly, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Take off from project blueprints, specifications, and drawings to assess labor, materials, and time needs.
- Prepare cost estimates and detailed project proposals for tenant improvement projects.
- Select and/or source appropriate materials and equipment required to efficiently complete jobs.
- Review contract documents to identify and report errors, inconsistencies, and omissions.
- Monitor project development and milestones to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, project engineers, superintendents, drivers and field crew to deliver a successful project.
General Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years estimating and managing paint projects.
- Hands-on painting experience is a must; experience with wallpaper a plus.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with project management and take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Building Connected, ComputerEase)
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and proactive mindset
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
