Job Description
Looking for a permanent optometric technician / medical assistant to provide quality patient care and customer service in a busy private optometry practice. Our office is known for delivering excellent care in a comfortable, friendly, and organized environment.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform preliminary testing prior to the doctor exam
- Operate multiple diagnostic instruments to collect patient data
- Accurately document medical history and testing results in electronic health records
Minor Responsibilities
- Patient check-in and check-out
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Contact lens training (training provided)
- Ordering and stocking contact lenses
Basic Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Basic computer skills for EHR documentation
- High school diploma or GED required
