We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Attractions Operator at the Hattiesburg Zoo. As an operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests while they enjoy our High Ropes Adventure Course, Train and Carousel and Mining Expedition attractions.

As an operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests while they enjoy our High Ropes Adventure Course, Train and Carousel and Mining Expedition attractions.
Responsibilities
- Operate the High Ropes Adventure Course, Train and Carousel, and Mining Expedition attractions, including inspecting equipment, ensuring proper use, and maintaining safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with questions, concerns, and special needs
- Monitor guests while they are on the attractions to ensure their safety and enjoyment
- Assist with crowd control and ride safety, including ensuring that guests are appropriately sized and wearing appropriate clothing and footwear
- Clean and maintain attractions, including removing trash, debris, and safety equipment
- Work in mild to extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, rain, and wind
- Traverse a course that stands 40 ft. while wearing appropriate safety equipment
- Stand for long periods of time while monitoring guests and ensuring ride safety
- Pass an operator training assessment, which will include a written and practical test to demonstrate knowledge of safety procedures, equipment uses, and emergency response protocols
- Passion for nature, adventure, and customer service, with a strong desire to provide an exceptional experience for our guests
- Comfortable with heights and able to traverse a course that stands 40 ft while wearing appropriate safety equipment
- Ability to work in mild to extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, rain, and wind

- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
