Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly, energetic attitude, creating an inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using the SQUARE POS systems and Open Table
- Maintain clear communication with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure seamless guest flow and timely service
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about reservations and wait times
- Assist guests with seating preferences, special requests, and guest relations to enhance their overall experience
- Keep the host/hostess station organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Support team members by handling guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest interaction abilities
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Square and Open table POS is a plus
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, or guest relations enhances your ability to connect with guests effectively
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences is key
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, tact, and professionalism in all interactions
