We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our establishment. Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers to launder linens, towels, and blankets.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damage prior to laundering and take appropriate action.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques, including knowledge of fabric care labels.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment effectively and safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 40 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
