Background & Opportunity
For more than three decades, radiology services have been subcontracted to external groups. The organization recently transitioned to a new partner but is experiencing challenges with cost, staffing stability, and turnaround times. This position represents a strategic shift toward strengthening in‑house radiology leadership and improving service quality.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Executive Director of Clinical Ancillary Services
Responsibilities
- Interpret a full range of imaging studies, including:
- Neuroradiology
- CT
- MRI
- Ultrasound
- Mammography
- Provide emergency imaging interpretation as part of 24/7/365 coverage
- Supervise and perform minor procedures as appropriate
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely, accurate diagnostic results
- Support high standards of patient care, safety, and service delivery
- Contribute to departmental workflow optimization and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology
- Fellowship training and/or experience in Emergency Radiology preferred
- Experience with Mammography strongly preferred
- Must obtain and maintain medical licensure in Vermont and New Hampshire
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
Pay: $500,000.00 per year
