Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive floor cleaning, vacuuming, and floor care to maintain pristine guest rooms and public areas.
- Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents, ensuring proper use of safety data sheets (SDS) and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct janitorial and industrial cleaning duties, including sanitation of bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, and common spaces.
- Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by organizing cleaning schedules, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest and staff safety during any incident or hazardous situation.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for additional cleaning or amenities with professionalism and courtesy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Previous experience with industrial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
