Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for an Inpatient Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry (PRN) located in Georgetown, TX. Not telemedicine. The role involves providing psychiatric evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and delivering patient-centered care to individuals with mental health conditions. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, monitor patient progress, maintain detailed medical records, and ensure continuity of care for inpatients.
Qualifications
- Advanced clinical skills in psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Proficiency in prescribing and managing psychotropic medications
- Strong collaborative abilities to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Excellent communication skills for patient interactions and documentation
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric care and crisis intervention
- Active and unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preferred
