CAD Detailer
POSITION TITLE: CAD DETAILER
POSITION DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING
POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Provide CAD and detailing support to Design Engineering, including part modeling, drawing development, drawing-format standardization, print revisions, and general CAD file management.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide CAD support for engineering projects, including model structure, detailed drawings, and process assemblies.
2. Create and revise part models as requested.
3. Develop and update wiring schematics and cable routings based upon Engineering data.
4. Convert files between CAD platforms as needed.
5. Manage file revisions for released products and maintain accurate CAD records.
6. Create simplified CAD models and verify product specifications for the CAD Marketing database.
7. Assist Design Engineering with additional projects and assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of engineering change-management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong working knowledge of CREO (Pro/ENGINEER) and/or SolidWorks is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Three to five or more years of experience with Hatco products and processes may be considered in lieu of associate degree.
