Software Engineer / DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and security-cleared Software Engineer or DevOps Engineer to join our mission-critical team at Fort Meade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Engineer: Design, develop, test, and deploy secure software applications in a classified environment.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality code on time.
• Code Maintenance: Maintain and refactor existing codebases to improve performance and security.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and debug software issues in real-time operational systems.

DevOps Engineer Responsibilities:

• CI/CD Pipelines: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage and monitor cloud or on-prem infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and scalability.
• Security Compliance: Ensure secure configurations and compliance with agency security guidelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• ~3 years of experience in software engineering or DevOps in secure or mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C , Go).
• Experience with modern DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and secure coding practices.
• Experience working with distributed systems, microservices, or real-time data processing.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, RHCE, Security , or similar.
