Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee and implement safety protocols within our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, promote a culture of safety, and develop training programs to enhance occupational health standards. This role requires a strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, workers' compensation law, and occupational health practices to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive EHS policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Manage workers' compensation claims, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to legal requirements.
- Coordinate first aid and CPR training to staff, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
- Coordinate training & development programs focused on occupational health, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare detailed report writing on safety incidents, audit findings, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies that promote a safe working environment across all departments.
- Stay current with OSHA, EPA regulations, and industry best practices related to environmental health and safety standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and workers' compensation law.
- Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on occupational health & safety management.
- Certified in First Aid and CPR with the ability to provide emergency response support.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to analyze root causes of incidents effectively.
- Proven ability in training & development to educate staff on safety protocols.
- Skilled in conducting root cause analysis for incident investigations.
- Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and implement compliant procedures.
