Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Die Setter located in Portland, TN. The Die Setter will be responsible for setting up and operating stamping presses, installing and aligning dies, making machine adjustments, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure efficient operation. Additional responsibilities include inspecting tools and parts, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards. Collaboration with team members to meet production goals is an integral part of this role.
Qualifications
- Experience in die setting, press operations, and troubleshooting equipment
- Knowledge of tool and die processes, mechanical systems, and safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic maintenance, inspect tools, and ensure production quality
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, geometric dimensioning (GD&T), and tolerancing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in automotive stamping or assembly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or relevant training is a plus
