Epic Bridges contributes to the design, implementation, and support of clinical and enterprise applications that improve patient care, research, and operational performance. This mid-level role manages technical solutions for moderately complex projects, collaborates with clinical and operational teams, and shares technical knowledge with junior analysts.
The Epic Bridges And Interfaces Analyst Will
Plan, design, configure, build, test, implement and maintain clinical and enterprise applications, including moderately complex system components within an Epic environment.
Troubleshoot multifaceted issues spanning software, hardware, interfaces, and databases.
Monitor system performance.
Perform quality assurance and integrated testing to ensure application reliability and alignment with organizational standards.
Support and develop application-specific enhancements and reports to support clinical and operational priorities.
Develop and maintains system documentation for build specifications.
Provide operational support for assigned applications
Minimum Education: Bachelor s Degree (Business, IS, Healthcare, or related field of study required) strongly preferred. Will consider an Associate s degree with 2 additional years of direct experience.
Required Certifications
Current, active Epic Certification in Bridges and Interfaces
Data Courier Badge is required
Additional Certification
Cloverleaf level I, II, or III preferred Minimum Experience Required 5 years of system build experience within an Epic environment, including successful implementations; high level complexity
Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required
Advanced knowledge of application support and development.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Design, develop, and unit test Epic Bridges interfaces (e.g., ADT, ORM/ORU, SIU, results, charges as applicable), including message validation, error handling, and reprocessing strategy; document build decisions and configuration.
Experience with network-related interface activities.
Experience with workflow analysis or development of application solutions preferred.
Experience in Epic applications, and healthcare operations background (e.g., clinical, billing, scheduling, access services, health information management, etc.)
Knowledge of clinical, business, and/or operational healthcare hospital/clinic workflows.
Experience in application build and go-live, along with extensive experience in implementation, workflows, troubleshooting, testing, and support
Specific experience with data integration
Excellent presentation and documentation skills.
Experience with healthcare information systems including application and data layer management preferred.
Experience With Systems Provisioning/security And Active Directory Structures Preferred.
Experience with integration platforms including middleware and application interfaces preferred.
Experience working with project life cycle and project management methodologies preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Visio preferred.
Professional level certification from an accredited organization in relevant informatics, health information technology, clinical or business specialties preferred.
