Position Summary:
The Warehouse Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring that customers receive the right products, on time, and in perfect condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product information, quantities, and lot numbers before packaging.
- Prepare and stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized picking area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product handling, labeling, and inventory tracking.
- Report inventory discrepancies or damaged products to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Assist with restocking and replenishment of shelves as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and participate in daily safety checks.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous warehouse, fulfillment, or order-picking experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer or scanner knowledge.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with eCommerce fulfillment or 3PL operations.
- Forklift or pallet jack certification a plus.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse setting with regular movement and moderate noise.
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety vests.
- Flexible schedule availability may be required during peak seasons.
