Surgical Technologist
No Nights. No Weekends. No Major Holidays.
Hastings Surgical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our team. If you enjoy starting your day early and having your afternoons free, this position offers an exceptional work-life balance in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment.
Schedule
- Must be available between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Typical work hours are between 5:45 AM and 2:00 PM
- Some days may run later depending on the surgical schedule
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays
This is the perfect schedule for someone who prefers to start their day early and enjoy their afternoons with family, hobbies, appointments, or other activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures
- Ensure instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and functioning properly
- Establish and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures
- Maintain strict sterile technique and infection prevention standards
- Anticipate surgeon needs during cases
- Pass instruments and supplies efficiently during procedures
- Perform surgical counts according to facility policy
- Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures
- Assist with cleaning, sterilization, and processing of instruments
- Participate in maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Previous operating room experience required
- Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile technique, infection prevention, and surgical instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
