Operating Room Registered Nurse

Hastings Surgical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. If you enjoy starting your day early and having your afternoons free, this position offers an exceptional work-life balance in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment.
Schedule
- Must be available between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Typical work hours are between 5:45 AM and 2:00 PM
- Some days may run later depending on the surgical schedule
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays
This is the perfect schedule for someone who prefers to start their day early and enjoy their afternoons with family, hobbies, appointments, or other activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting
- Circulate surgical procedures while maintaining patient safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure efficient patient care
- Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment
- Scrub surgical procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska Registered Nurse license required
- Previous operating room experience preferred
- Scrubbing experience preferred
- Must be willing to learn and perform scrub duties as part of the role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Current BLS/ACLS certification required or willing to complete
