- Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable Sanitation Worker to support cleaning and hygiene operations in a raw cow hide processing facility. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment where animal by-products are handled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize equipment, floors, drains, and work areas used in raw hide processing
- Remove debris, waste, and organic material from production areas
- Safely handle and dispose of animal by-products according to regulations
- Use high-pressure hoses, cleaning tools, and approved chemicals
- Follow all OSHA, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Control odors and maintain overall facility cleanliness
- Assist with deep cleaning during shutdowns or shift changes
Qualifications:
- Previous sanitation, industrial cleaning, or meat/animal processing experience preferred
- Ability to work in wet, cold, and odorous environments
- Comfortable handling raw animal materials
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to follow strict safety and hygiene protocols
Work Environment:
- Exposure to strong odors and raw animal products
- Wet and slippery surfaces
