Job Summary
We are seeking an Operations and Patient Treatment Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will streamline daily operations, coordinate patient treatments, and ensure a smooth experience for both patients and staff across two offices (Mattoon and Shelbyville).
Responsibilities
- Assist with insurance claims submission, tracking, and payment posting
- Support monthly patient billing, including statement processing and account follow-up
- Review clinical treatment plans and options with patients and explain financial arrangements clearly and compassionately
- Maintain HIPAA compliance by ensuring patient confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information throughout the office
- Provide front desk support as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and collecting payments
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate and efficient patient care and communication
- Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records in the practice management system
- Address patient questions regarding treatment, insurance, and billing in a professional and helpful manner
- Assist with general office operations and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office preferred
- Knowledge of dental procedures and dental insurance processes, billing, and terminology strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain treatment plans and financial information clearly
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy, especially with financial and patient information
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
- Proficiency with computers and dental practice management software (or ability to learn quickly)
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
