Hastings College is seeking a full-time, non-tenure Mathematics faculty member to begin in August 2026. Rank of lecturer, instructor, or professor of practice depends on experience. While the area of emphasis is open, the ability to teach Data Analytics is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required; PhD strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a variety of mathematics courses to departmental majors, other majors, and in the general education curriculum.

  • Instruct within the block schedule, utilizing 8-week terms to facilitate focused, immersive learning.

  • Serve as an academic advisor to students.

  • Contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

The successful candidate will hold a Maters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; PhD is preferredDemonstrated teaching experience is required, either concurrent to, or following graduate studies. The ability to work well as a member of a department and campus community at liberal arts college is essential.
