Responsibilities
- Stock shelves accurately and efficiently, maintaining organized product displays and ensuring merchandise is replenished promptly.
- Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions smoothly and accurately.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions.
- Conduct product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales.
- Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and maintaining accurate cash records.
- Assist with merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring compliance with store standards.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person, ensuring clear communication at all times.
- Support upselling initiatives by recommending additional products or services to enhance customer experience.
- Participate in inventory management activities such as stocking deliveries, organizing back stock, and conducting stock counts.
- Uphold safety standards and store policies while managing customer interactions and handling merchandise.
Experience
- Previous retail experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments involving stocking and cashier duties.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate transactions is highly advantageous.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings.
- Bilingual abilities are beneficial for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
