Litigation Associate

About the Role

Hassett | Donnelly is seeking a litigation associate with 2-7 years of experience for its Hartford office. The candidate must be admitted to practice law in Connecticut. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate to gain valuable courtroom and deposition experience and handle a varied caseload including construction losses, liquor liability, premises liability, trucking accidents and product liability matters.

Responsibilities

• Gain valuable courtroom and deposition experience.
• Handle a varied caseload including construction losses, liquor liability, premises liability, trucking accidents and product liability matters.
• Participate in trials and prepare for them.
• Take depositions and work with experts.
• Attend site inspections.
• Draft and argue motions.
• Receive ongoing skills training and shadowing opportunities.
• Engage in real-time coaching on client communication, discovery, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in Connecticut.
• Possess strong academic credentials.

Required Skills

Preferred Skills

• Admission to multiple states or a desire to gain admission in multiple states.

Pay range and compensation package

Salary range of $110,000-$150,000 depending on experience and excellent benefits package including a sign-on bonus.
