Job Description
HELC (Haslet Elite Learning Center) is seeking a nurturing, reliable, and enthusiastic Pre-K Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 4–5.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans in accordance with a structured curriculum
- Promote children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and compliance
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and daily activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
- Follow all Texas Health and Human Services Child Care Licensing (CCL) regulations and center policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred)
- Previous experience working with Pre-K or preschool-aged children
- Ability to pass a background check per Texas Child Care Licensing requirements
- Must meet annual training requirements as outlined by the state of Texas
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
Requirements (Texas Licensing Compliance)
- Meet all Texas Health and Human Services Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers
- Complete required orientation and ongoing annual training hours
- Demonstrate understanding of child safety, supervision, and reporting requirements
