About us
We are a small, family-run commercial paving business in Northern NJ. We have been paving since 1966. Most of our employees have been with us for decades. We pride ourselves on safety, the maintenance of our fleet, and our employees' and customers' satisfaction.
Duties:
- Operate a lowboy tractor trailer transporting large heavy equipment
- Load and unload equipment onto trailer
- Hook and unhook trailer
- Operate a tri-axle or tandem dump truck with trailer to and from job sites
- Pick up asphalt/stone from quarry and deliver to job sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A) with appropriate endorsements
- Experience on a paving crew operating a dump truck and moving equipment
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Ability to pass a drug test including THC
- Experience loading heavy equipment such as pavers, rollers and skid steers is preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading materials
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members
