General Laborer - Asphalt Plant

Haskell Lemon Group is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Asphalt Plant Laborer to join our plant operations team.

This is a hands-on, outdoor position supporting the safe and efficient operation of an asphalt production facility. The Asphalt Plant Laborer assists with daily plant operations, cleanup, maintenance, material handling, and other duties necessary to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

A valid driver's license is required for this position.

What You'll Do

As an Asphalt Plant Laborer, your responsibilities may include:

• Assist with daily asphalt plant operations and production activities
• Perform general labor and cleanup throughout the plant and surrounding areas
• Use hand and power tools to perform assigned tasks
• Assist plant operators, equipment operators, and maintenance personnel as needed
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, parts, and equipment
• Perform shoveling, sweeping, and cleanup around plant equipment and material areas
• Help maintain walkways, work areas, and plant grounds in a clean and safe condition
• Signal equipment operators and assist with the safe movement of equipment and materials
• Assist with basic plant maintenance and repairs when trained and assigned
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or maintenance needs
• Assist with environmental, waste management, and erosion-control procedures as required
• Follow all Company safety policies, procedures, and supervisor instructions
• Perform other duties as assigned based on plant and production needs

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills
• Previous construction, asphalt, aggregate, industrial, or general labor experience preferred
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow Company safety policies and procedures
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Professional and respectful communication with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public
• Willingness to learn different aspects of asphalt plant operations

What to Expect

This is a physical, outdoor position in an active asphalt production environment. Employees should be prepared to work around heavy equipment, machinery, dust, noise, and hot materials and to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including Oklahoma heat and cold.

The position requires physical activity throughout the workday, which may include standing, walking, climbing, bending, lifting, carrying, shoveling, and working on uneven surfaces.

Asphalt production schedules are driven by construction and customer needs. Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, nights, overtime, and weekends.
