About the Role

HashiCorp is looking for an experienced Senior Director of Inbound Product Management who is excited to drive operational excellence through several cross-functional processes that will impact hundreds of team members across multiple organizations at HashiCorp. This Senior Director needs to be an extremely influential leader and a change agent, as they will take on significant strategic and functional responsibility.

As the Senior Director, you will drive critical cross team efforts at the direction of the R&D leadership team that contribute to increased productivity and operational excellence. You will be modeling execution excellence, high quality of deliverables and critical thinking within the R&D Operations organization. You will be expected to partner closely with the R&D leadership team of VPs and SVPs, as well as other functional leaders across the company, to understand their needs and priorities. You'll be responsible for driving outcomes, influencing across many stakeholders and teams, and collaboratively of your own production.

Deep experience with AI is required to support the operational excellence and productivity aspects of driving product success. You will be expected to ideate, evaluate, and execute create and modern ways of applying intelligence to driving R&D toward greater outcomes. Excellent systems thinking, collaboration & communication, and team-building skills are required to collaborate effectively with organizational leaders in other functions and lead the team.

What you'll do (responsibilities)
  • Work autonomously, influence without direct supervision, and resourcefully drive success on executive level deliverables and strategic initiatives
  • As a highly experienced individual contributor, lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes across the R&D organization
  • Take a big picture view of the organization, with a solid understanding of priorities across teams and the ability to effectively drive cross-team collaboration
  • Drive consistency and optimization of processes that span all product lines to enable easier partnerships and more effective delivery to downstream teams
  • Work with internal stakeholders to assess their needs, understand their roadmaps, and plan how to provide the maximum leverage for them
  • Create a culture of continuous learning, with an emphasis on creative thinking and reflective observation, leading by example to ensure the team is aware of areas of strength and improvement
  • Focus on modeling a high bar for performance that the organization can look to as a new standard
What you'll need (basic qualifications)
  • 10 years of experience building and managing highly effective product teams.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience applying AI to driving product success through greater productivity and accelerated outcomes
  • Track record of operating at large scale and complex R&D organizations.
  • Proven ability to solve large complicated problems creatively and effectively.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, empathy for the needs of all stakeholders, and a track record of delivering projects.
  • An appreciation for engineering, product, and design practices.
  • Experience in high growth technical organizations that are working cross-functionally to deliver enterprise software.
  • Strong bias for action and an intrinsic ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to display a solid growth mindset, seek out feedback, and encourage continuous improvement across the team.

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$246,500-$290,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in California (excluding SF Bay Area), New York (excluding NYC), Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, Washington D.C., or Maryland is:
$225,900-$265,800 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro), Illinois, Minnesota, or Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$205,400-$241,700 USD

Salary : $225,900 - $265,800
