Warehouse Manager – Food Distribution Warehouse
Location: Union, NJ
Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the food distribution warehouse located in Union, New Jersey. This role ensures that all food products are received, stored, handled, and distributed in compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements. The Warehouse Manager oversees inventory accuracy, staff management, store replenishment, and coordination with logistics partners to ensure product quality, safety, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Manage daily food warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
- Ensure proper food storage by category (dry, refrigerated, frozen if applicable)
- Enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices and expiration date control
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Inventory & Food Safety Management
- Ensure accuracy between physical inventory and system records through regular cycle counts
- Monitor product expiration dates, damages, recalls, and non-compliant items
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and shrinkage
- Prepare inventory and loss reports for management and finance teams
Staff Management & Training
- Supervise warehouse staff and assign daily tasks and schedules
- Train employees on food safety, sanitation, and warehouse SOPs
- Ensure compliance with personal hygiene and food-handling standards
- Monitor staff performance and enforce company policies
Store & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate replenishment and delivery schedules with stores and purchasing teams
- Work with third-party logistics providers on transportation and issue resolution
- Manage store transfers, returns, and urgent delivery requests
Compliance, Safety & Insurance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, labor, and fire regulations
- Identify and report safety hazards, food safety incidents, or warehouse damages
- Assist with inspections, incident reports, and insurance claim documentation
Qualifications
- Associate degree or above; logistics, supply chain, food, or management background preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing a food warehouse or food logistics operation
- Strong knowledge of food storage standards, FIFO, expiration control, and sanitation requirements
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically active environment
- Bilingual (English & Chinese) preferred

人员管理与培训
- 管理仓库员工，安排工作任务及班次

- 监督员工工作表现并执行公司制度
门店与物流协调
- 与门店、采购及运营团队协调补货与配送计划
- 对接第三方物流公司，处理运输及异常情况
- 负责门店调拨、退货及紧急配送安排
合规、安全与保险
- 确保仓库符合食品安全、劳动、安全及消防相关法规
- 及时发现并上报食品安全事故、仓库损坏或人员意外

任职要求
- 大专及以上学历，物流、供应链、食品或管理相关专业优先
- 3 年以上食品仓库或食品物流管理经验
- 熟悉食品仓储规范、FIFO、保质期及卫生管理要求
- 熟练使用库存管理系统
- 具备良好的组织、沟通及问题解决能力
- 能适应快节奏工作及一定体力劳动
- 中英文双语者优先
