Warehouse Associate (Forklift Required)

Position Overview
The Warehouse Stock Clerk / Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations at our food warehouse located in Union, New Jersey. This role includes receiving, stocking, picking, inventory control, and operating a forklift to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe warehouse operations in compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, count, and stock incoming products according to warehouse procedures.
- Organize and rotate inventory following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles, especially for food products.
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack to move, load, unload, and store inventory safely and efficiently.
- Pick, sort, stage, and prepare products for outgoing orders and deliveries.
- Perform inventory checks, cycle counts, and assist with physical inventory.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or expired products to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with food safety and OSHA standards.
- Follow all warehouse SOPs, forklift safety rules, and company policies.
- Complete other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, stocking, or inventory experience preferred.
- Forklift operation experience is required; valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 40–50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of responsibility.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic English communication skills required; bilingual (Chinese/English) is a plus.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
