Commercial Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Construction Technician

Job Summary

Hasen is seeking an experienced and dependable Commercial Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Construction Technician to support our construction projects throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This position is ideal for a versatile craft professional who can independently complete a variety of carpentry, installation, repair, punch-list, and project closeout activities.

The successful candidate will demonstrate quality workmanship, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Install mirrors, including layout, mounting, alignment, and proper anchoring.
• Perform finish and trim carpentry, including base, casing, blocking, shelving, and miscellaneous woodwork.
• Layout and install non-load-bearing metal framing.
• Hang and repair drywall, including small patches and limited finishing work.
• Perform minor paint repairs and touch-up work.
• Install window blinds, shades, and related accessories.
• Install and adjust commercial and residential door hardware, including hinges, closers, locksets, stops, panic devices, and miscellaneous accessories.
• Complete punch-list and quality-control corrective work.
• Repair or replace damaged finishes, hardware, and construction components.
• Assist with protection, temporary installations, site logistics, and miscellaneous project needs.
• Read and interpret drawings, details, manufacturer instructions, and written work directives.
• Properly document completed work and communicate material, access, or coordination issues to the Project Superintendent.
• Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Three or more years of commercial carpentry, construction maintenance, punch-list, or related field experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of trim carpentry, metal framing, drywall, door hardware, and finish installations.
• Ability to accurately measure, layout, cut, fasten, level, and align construction materials.
• Ability to identify the appropriate anchors and fasteners for different substrates.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assigned tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to communicate professionally with project management, field personnel, subcontractors, and clients.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and use personal protective equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel between projects within the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Tools and Equipment

The employee should have basic personal hand tools appropriate for commercial carpentry and installation work. Hasen will provide or coordinate specialized tools and equipment as required by the assignment.

Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to:

• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work from ladders.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Work in active construction environments and varying weather conditions.
• Perform work at elevated locations when properly protected and authorized.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification.
• Experience working on multifamily, hospitality, high-rise, or commercial renovation projects.
• Experience completing unit turns, owner punch lists, and final project closeout work.
• Familiarity with mobile construction-management or task-tracking applications.
• Basic bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
