Job Responsibilities:
- Operate hand and power tools safely; inspect tools daily for damage, frayed cords, missing guards, or any alterations outside manufacturer specs
- Identify hazards, contribute to the Plan of the Day and Job Hazard Analysis, and participate in Toolbox Talks
- Report all near misses, first aids, and safety concerns to the Foreman or Superintendent immediately
- Keep the job site clean and organized throughout the project; enforce subcontractor cleanup in their work areas
- Use proper lifting techniques and equipment when handling heavy materials; ask for team member assistance when needed
- Inspect and forecast materials and tools at least 2 weeks out; notify supervisor when supplies are running low
- Load and unload materials as needed; store extra materials properly for future use
- Use dust-controlling products (e.g., Floor Sweep) when sweeping dusty areas; follow silica safety standards and wear required PPE for sawing, grinding, chipping, cutting, or drilling
- Assist with safely rigging materials for hoist with crane or forklift; inspect all rigging and fall protection before use
- Assist with installing and maintaining erosion control measures — silt fence, straw wattling, concrete washout pits, tracking pads, and rock socks
- When patching or rubbing walls, use materials specified by the owner
- Work in assigned areas indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions
Job Qualifications:
- Self-motivated team player who takes initiative and follows direction
- Light equipment operation experience helpful but not required
- Communicates effectively with co-workers, subcontractors, and site leadership
- Able to adapt in a fast-paced, changing job site environment
- Willing to work additional hours as needed
- Must provide personal safety footwear and basic hand tools
- Reliable transportation to job sites across the city
- Must pass a background check and drug test (required)
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work in an active construction environment.
- Frequently lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls materials up to 50 lbs.; may occasionally lift or move heavier materials with assistance.
- Regularly stands, walks, bends, kneels, squats, climbs, reaches, and works for extended periods.
- May work indoors, outdoors, at heights, on uneven surfaces, around equipment, and in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all jobsite safety requirements.

Pay:
The pay range for this position is $21.00-$26.00 per hour, paid weekly.
