What are the responsibilities and job description for the HCV Specialist position at HAS Properties?
This position performs a variety of work involving the coordination, implementation and monitoring of the Housing Choice Voucher Program and other related subsidized programs.
Review client applications for rental assistance. Determine client eligibility based on income, deduction’s and allowances, family composition, and compute housing assistance payments and family rental portions according to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations.
Process annual re-certifications, interim changes and/or moves including obtaining verification of participant information in accordance with program requirements.
Prepares necessary contracts and reviews contract with tenant as scheduled.
Resolve concerns between tenant, landlord and the Housing Authority.
Schedule and conduct group or individual briefing sessions.
Maintain accurate records. File, pull files and maintain caseload files. Gather data and report participant information to HUD as required or assigned.
Perform other work as assigned by their supervisor.
Education Level: Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalency; and at least two years minimum experience in client/case management or closely related field preferred.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as a pre-emplpyment background check.

Pay: $37,440.00 - $39,520.00 per year
