What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Paint Prepper position at Harwood's Body Shop?
We are a fast-paced, high-quality production shop looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper. You will play a critical role in our painting process, ensuring all surfaces are perfectly prepared to meet our high quality standards and production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Clean, degrease, and sand surfaces
- Masking & Taping: Carefully tape, mask, and cover areas that are not intended to be painted.
- Quality Control: Inspect prepped areas for defects and assist the lead painter with blending and detailing as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 2 years of professional experience in paint preparation or auto body repair.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with sanding tools and masking materials
- Attention to Detail: A critical eye for spotting and fixing flaws to prevent defects in the final finish.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
