Commercial Service Plumber
Position installs and maintains drains, waste and vent plumbing systems; water piping of various types; all types of plumbing; water for use with appliances and equipment; water mains; sewer mains and storm drains; gas lines and gas using appliances.
Position will demonstrate:
Knowledge of and experience in the standard practices, methods, and processes in the use of materials, tools, and equipment of the trade.
Required Skills:
- Desirable to have a valid journeyman plumbing license
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Experience in the standard practices, methods, and processes in the use of materials, tools, and equipment of the trade
- Experience maintaining and repairing hot water boiler systems, controls and circulation pumps
- Experience maintaining and repairing and replacing gas, and electric water heaters
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment as related to gas and water piping
- Experience with sewer mains and building drains
- knowledge of and experience in backflow preventer testing and repair
- Demonstrated good customer service and communication skills
- Experience in and ability to use power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, threading machines, hoist, sewer machines, welders and gas torches
- Knowledge of safety rules and procedures related to the trade
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, work from drawings, blueprints and sketches
Physical Requirements:
Qualified candidates must be able to meet minimum requirements and perform the primary functions of the position
Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of apprenticeship training in the plumbing trade
- Two (2) years experience as a maintenance service plumber, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00 - $54.00 per hour
