Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Consultant to support the design, validation, and migration of enterprise workloads into a modern VCF environment. This role will play a key part in transitioning from traditional VMware infrastructures to a fully integrated VCF stack, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with vSphere and VCF, along with expertise in migration planning, execution, and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
VCF Implementation & Migration
- Support the design validation and implementation of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments
- Assist in developing and executing migration strategies and roadmaps for transitioning workloads to VCF
- Perform end-to-end workload migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption
vSphere Administration & Operations
- Provide hands-on support for daily operations and administration of VMware vSphere environments
- Monitor system performance and ensure stability, availability, and optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues across compute, storage, and virtualization layers
Architecture & Solution Support
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to validate technical designs and deployment plans
- Support configuration and integration across VCF components (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager)
- Ensure alignment with best practices for scalability, security, and operational efficiency
Documentation & Best Practices
- Document migration processes, configurations, and operational procedures
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and internal standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere administration
- Experience working with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments
- Proven experience in infrastructure migration projects, including workload and application migration
- Knowledge of virtualization, storage, and networking concepts
- Experience with troubleshooting and performance tuning in VMware environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with VCF components including:
- vSAN
- NSX
- SDDC Manager
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (PowerCLI, Python)
- Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments
- VMware certifications (VCAP, or VCF-related) are a plus
Salary : $70 - $80
