Job Title - Embedded Controls Software Engineer
Location: Chillicothe, IL
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Travel: None
We’re looking for an experienced Embedded Controls Software Engineer to support embedded electronic control systems for diesel engine and battery-electric/fuel-cell applications.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and integrate embedded control software
- Analyze software requirements and develop embedded software features/libraries
- Perform software configuration, integration, and builds
- Create and execute software test plans
- Set up and configure test bench hardware and software
- Perform manual and automated software testing
- Debug and troubleshoot software, system, and controller-level issues
- Support application teams with software integration and validation
Key Skills
- 5 years of industry experience
- Strong C programming experience
- Embedded control software development
- Model-Based Development / Model-Based Design
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and/or Stateflow
- Experience with CAN / SAE J1939
- ECU/ECM or electronic controller experience
Nice to Have
- Engine, powertrain, vehicle, or machine controls
- SIL/HIL or bench testing
- Python scripting
- Embedded operating systems
- Ethernet
- Electrical system troubleshooting
- Application software integration
