Job Summary

Job Description
- Assist with planting and staking research plots.
- Perform pollination activities.
- Collect research data using electronic devices.
- Maintain research plots, including weeding and general upkeep.
- Perform hand harvesting of crops.
- Assist with spraying activities.
- Support process improvement projects.
- Operate and perform preventive maintenance on farm and research equipment.
- Assist with indoor laboratory duties as needed.
- Drive company vehicles during work hours, when required.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Comply with all company and USDA-APHIS policies, procedures, and training requirements.
- Work weekends and extended hours during peak seasons as needed.
Skills Required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn and use iOS devices for electronic data collection.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Experience with pesticide application is preferred but not required.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Completion of required company and USDA-APHIS training.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Shift: 07:30 AM
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work weekends and extended hours during peak seasons.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and farm/research equipment when required.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $22.69 to $30.69 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
