• Design reusable semantic models (star schemas, measures, calculation groups as appropriate) that support multiple reports, audiences, and clients.
Security, Governance & Client Access
• Implement and maintain scalable row-level security (RLS) and role design to protect client-segmented and regulated data.
• Administer workspaces, apps, and permissions; manage internal vs. external access, including onboarding/offboarding and client access requests.
• Establish and document standards for report organization, definitions, and user guidance to ensure consistent, governed delivery across the reporting catalog.
Modernization, Data Sources & Refresh Operations
• Migrate and modernize legacy BI content into Power BI Service / Fabric, including refactoring calculations and standardizing formatting.
• Configure and support data sources, gateways, and refresh schedules; monitor refresh health, troubleshoot failures, and validate data integrity.

Reporting Delivery & Stakeholder Support
• Partner with business owners to gather requirements and deliver client-facing and internal reports, including recurring deliverables such as EOM reporting and ad hoc QBR requests.
• Build and maintain report pages, measures, and visuals with a focus on accuracy, usability, and consistent standards (fonts, number formats, definitions).
• Support dataset exports and external data delivery patterns (scheduled or on-demand) where required; document processes and coordinate with IT as needed.
Production Support & Incident Response
• Support production reporting by triaging and resolving issues related to refresh failures, access/permissions, broken visuals, and data discrepancies; communicate status and resolution clearly.
Data & Platform Collaboration
• Collaborate with data engineering/warehouse and IT teams to align semantic models with source systems, resolve data issues, and support platform changes affecting reporting.
Documentation & Enablement
• Create and maintain user-facing and technical documentation (report definitions, workspace organization, access instructions, deployment/refresh processes) to reduce friction and improve adoption.
Delivery Planning & Backlog Management
• Plan and execute BI deliveries from requirements through validation and deployment, coordinating timelines, testing, and release communication.
• Manage intake and prioritization of reporting requests; maintain a backlog of enhancements, defects, and operational tasks.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting delivery (standardized templates, reusable measures, automated refresh/exports, and clearer definitions) to improve quality and reduce cycle time.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 years Power BI development experience delivering production datasets and reports.
• Strong DAX, Power Query (M), and dimensional/semantic data modeling skills.
• Experience with Power BI Service (workspaces, apps, deployments) and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong understanding of relational data, SQL, and warehouse concepts; ability to validate data and troubleshoot source-to-report issues.

• Experience supporting production BI operations (refresh monitoring, incident triage, access requests, and documentation).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate business questions into clear, usable reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent reporting priorities (EOM, client requests, enhancements) while maintaining quality and governance.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, analytics, or equivalent practical experience.
