Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Aide for our STEM Summer Program, Chisholm Trail: Reading STEM Camp! The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students and providing students with the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. The Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting with curriculum planning, supervision and teaching of children under the supervision of the Teacher(s). The Teacher Aide will support the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans and provide routine support for the STEM Summer Program. This role is essential in shaping young minds and promoting a love for learning through innovative educational practices.
*This position may begin from June 29, 2026 — July 31, 2026.
Responsibilities
- · Serves as educational support staff by assisting teaching professionals in planning and preparation for daily activities, aiding in instructional efforts for students and ensuring an overall safe and stimulating educational environment.
- · Responsible for preparing lesson outlines, plans, and curriculum in assigned areas under the guidance of the teaching professional(s).
- · Assists students individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
- · Maintains a clean learning environment by collecting learning materials, sanitizing school desks, chairs and work surfaces etc.
- · Monitors students during lunch, recess and breaks as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated knowledge of core subject area assigned.
Licensure/ Certification:
- Childhood Development Associate (CDA) Certificate (preferred).
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting (preferred).
