This role's primary schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with occasional requirements to be present at event sites. So What (Exactly) is a Beverage Manager? ------------------------------------------ The Beverage Manager partners closely with the Event Producer and other internal HMC staff to bring clients’ visions of all shapes and sizes to life – whether it’s a wedding, a corporate gala, or an intimate dinner party. Responsibilities include managing all aspects related to the beverages for the events. You’ll meet with the Event Producer to form a deep understanding of the vision for the event (how many bars, what type of beverages are desired) and you’ll partner will HMC team members and vendor contacts to execute that vision beautifully. Hospitality is a fast-paced, dynamic industry and life at HMC is no exception. Here you’ll need to be able to shift between tasks, frequently, while still having a high attention to detail and quality. You’ll do administrative tasks like ensuring you have the appropriate number of teammates to staff the event. Next you may put on your creative hat and work with an Event Producer to create a custom cocktail for an upcoming event. You’ll have ultimate responsibility for all things “beverage” at the event and partner with HMC teammates, vendor representatives, and relevant clients (e.g., mother of the bride) to execute a smooth, successful event. You’ll delegate tasks, multitask and problem solve. Maintaining a positive and professional attitude is paramount. The Minimum You'll Do: ---------------------- - Meet with Event Producers to understand the details for each event.
- Work with the staffing coordinator to help train and prepare bartenders and bar captains.
- Work with the kitchen staff to coordinate making simple syrups and other beverage related items.
- Be in charge of scheduling and training future assistants and helpers within the department
- Spend time on event sites to help facilitate and learn about our processes.
- Create and batch specialty drinks, and inform the staff on how to execute them on site.
- Create and track inventories (both alcoholic and NA) for each event.
- Help facilitate and lead the loading of event trucks to ensure the correct product and amount is going out.
- Keep track of in house inventory and ordering.

Your Experience, Education, and Training: ----------------------------------------- - You have 5 years of hospitality and bartending experience.
- You have got 2 years of management experience (bar management is a plus!)
- You have experience with tracking and ordering inventory.
- You have a basic knowledge of ABC regulations and policies.
- You’ve got proficient computer skills and experience with Google Suite and MS Office.
