Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to established standards of care.
- Oversee patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs, particularly in critical care and long-term care settings.
- Ensure accurate medical documentation is maintained for all patients, including those requiring suture procedures or specialized care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including behavioral health and toddler care.
- Monitor the quality of nursing services provided, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance patient outcomes.
- Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional development and adherence to best practices.
- Address any concerns or issues related to patient care promptly and effectively.
Requirements
- Current RN nursing license with relevant experience in critical care, long-term care, or behavioral health settings.
- Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and standards of care.
- Experience working in a nursing home or similar facility is preferred.
- Ability to perform sutures and manage aliment-related issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care, particularly with children and toddlers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of nursing management.
